The Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) has funded and coordinated more than 200 projects since its first call for proposals in 2012. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the office in 2021, the OAD has embarked upon an exercise to determine and understand better the impacts of its projects so far.

This new survey will gather data on the impact of the project activities on its recipients as well as collect responses from the project team. These survey responses will complement the reports submitted by the projects right after completion, and help us measure any longer-term (months or years after the project) impacts. And it will contribute to the larger pool of evidence for Astronomy for Development.

Survey audience: participants of project activities (final beneficiaries); project coordinator and team members (project organizers)

Survey duration: it will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey

Data Anonymity and Follow up: The data collected will be anonymous. Exception is in the case of anyone interested in being available for a follow-up interview and sharing more of your experience (for which we request you to provide us your email address). Your email address will only be used for contacting you about further research, and not for any other purpose.

Data privacy: Responses to this survey will only be used for the purposes of evaluating OAD projects. The results presented will ensure anonymity. Data storage will be private and secure and the data collected will not be shared with anyone outside the OAD. If you have any questions about the survey or questionnaire, please contact Ramasamy Venugopal, operations manager, rv@astro4dev.org.

The survey link will be directly shared with participants.
