- Andean Region welcomes new 2024/25 Coordinator, Dr. Faiber Rosas-Portilla from Observatorio Astronómico y Cultural Silatupue, Colombia
- First general meeting and update of the directory of Andean ROAD
- TECNOCAMP 4.0-2024: Science, Technology and Innovation Camp.
East Asia
- EAsia-ROAD actively engaged in the OAD Steering Committee meeting, which was conducted virtually on January 29, 2024.
- From December 2023 to April 2024, EAsia-ROAD participated in a significant temporary exhibition at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum titled “The Beauty of Technology: A 90-Year Astronomical Theme Exhibition Illustrated by ‘Popular Science’.”
- Members of the EAsia-ROAD committee engaged in productive discussions with peers from the Shanghai Planetarium, focusing on strategies for science teacher training in rural areas.
- EAsia-ROAD is in the process of organizing the “Astro Ecology Activity” slated for 2024.
Europe
- The office hosted the first “try-out” of the C-Link Programme, a 1-hour virtual link-up based on astronomy that took place between primary schools in Armenia, Ethiopia, Ireland, the Netherlands and Nigeria.
South West And Central Asia
- Areg Mickaelian Public interviews and TV programs on various problems of astronomy
- Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory (AbAO), Georgia: Reconstruction works, installation of new telescopes, etc.
- Interdisciplinary studies: collaboration on Astroinformatics between BAO and Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems (IIAP); mutual visits on 23.01.2024 and 28.03.2024
- Scientific (Astro) Tourism activities at BAO; visits of thousands of pupils, students and other visitors to BAO 2.6m and 1m telescopes, Planetarium and Viktor Ambartsumian house-museum, night observations with small telescopes
